Rick Ross brings more than 16 years of sales success, team leadership and vision to his current role as President of The Ross Group. Since 1986, he has demonstrated outstanding success in territory and regional-level sales and sales management as a top sales producer.

Prior to founding The Ross Group, Rick cut his teeth and rose to the top sales ranks in the highly competitive office automation solutions field, which is regarded as one of the most difficult industries in which to sustain long-term sales success.

  • As director of major account sales with Thermocopy of Tennessee, Inc., Rick was instrumental in increasing revenues by implementing an aggressive new business development strategy that drove him to exceed his $1.8 million goal by 115% in 1998.
  • As a sales trainer, Rick revamped Thermocopy's existing training program into a comprehensive and highly effective sales representative training system that is still in use today.
  • During his four years as a sales representative for Thermocopy, Rick ranked as a "top sales performer" throughout the company and the Southeast region for increasing sales and market share of Minolta and Ricoh products.

Rick has walked in the shoes of The Ross Group clients and is well versed in the challenges today's sales professionals face. With a proven history of significantly increasing annual sales in every sales or sales management position throughout his career, Rick draws on strengths in territory development, profit and revenue growth, sales training and strategic sales planning to help The Ross Group clients meet their objectives with real-world solutions to their toughest challenges.

Founding The Ross Group

While visiting the Sandler Sales Institute® to investigate a new training system for an employer, Rick was very personally impacted by what he learned there. Having experienced so many training systems over the years that failed to live up to their billing, he recognized true value in the Sandler Selling System.

Energized by identifying a realistic path to long term success for his salespeople, Rick also saw new vision for his own life's work. One that would allow him to focus his full efforts on his true passion -- helping others achieve their dreams by introducing them to a highly effective sales system that actually delivers what the others only promise.
